Poole Wheelers junior Sam Wadsley won the CC Weymouth Easter 10, at Owermoigne in Dorset, on a morning that had all four seasons. The 18 year old started in a hailstorm and finished in bright sunshine on his way to a first open success, his time of 21:38 one of only two rides under 22 minutes.

Lewis Keightley (Bournemouth Jubilee Wh) finished 17 seconds down on Wadsley lacking the power to punch into the wind on the return trip from Winfrith, double the distance and throw in a couple of hills and the result could be reversed. Steve Pink continues to improve, claiming third spot ahead of more fancied riders.

Pre-race favourite, Matt Burden (Severn RC) suffered in the conditions, the wind and hail seemingly blowing his morale away Burden would sit up after halfway.
