2. What races will be your targets for 2016 and why?
Ellie: Ryedale, Tour of Reservoir and Ras na mBan. Love tough conditions, hills and open roads. Love the scenery of these races in particular.

3. How will you spend the time on the bike between now and your first race in training?
Ellie: Long easy miles for base fitness over this winter and I’ll pick up the intensity towards the start of the race season.

4. What was your favourite Xmas present?
Ellie: Probably my Macbook air, my most treasured thing!

5. When it rains, which it’s doing a lot right now, is it turbo time or wrap up and get wet?
Ellie: Hmmm depends on how ‘severe’ the rain is. In Liverpool, defiantly jump on the turbo! When I’m back home in Wales, I strangely quite enjoying getting out in the rain. Doesn’t bother me too much as long as I’m wrapped up!

6. If you could do any race in the world including the best ones in the world etc, what would it be and why?
Ellie: Not sure, probably a very hilly one!

7. What piece of food can you not do without where ever you are on the road during the season!
Ellie: Jelly babies, I could easily eat a whole bag of these in one go! Quick source of energy though so works perfectly for racing.

8. What is your favourite music track when warming up for a race or on the turbo?
Ellie: ‘Go’ – The Chemical Brothers

9. If given the option, would you prefer normal brakes or disc brakes on your road bike?
Ellie: Normal brakes, I haven’t ever used disc brakes

10. What’s the spec of your race bike for 2016 and your favourite bits on it? (include a pic or two if you have them!)
Ellie: Orbea Bronze – Shimano 105, my race bike for the last 2 years. Love the shape and colour of the bike. It was my first carbon bike and has been through a lot! Don’t want to get rid of it now.
