Helen Wyman wins Women’s Superprestige Cyclo-Cross international at Gieten in Holland

European Women’s Cyclo-Cross Champion Helen Wyman bounced back from her sixth place on the Saturday (World Cup Koksijde) by winning decisively at Gieten over Sanne Cant who had been second at Koksijde.
After a battle for the lead on the first lap, Wyman it was who came through after the first lap with a lead over Cant who had to fight off Sabrina Stultiëns (Rabobank-Liv/Giant) for the second spot.
With Wyman able to ride her own race, Cant & Stultiens each tried to drop the other but Cant’s better technical skills gave her an advantage of a few seconds at the finish. There were no other British riders in the event.
