Raptor Factory Racing, a brand-new cycling team launched from the success of Raptor Bikes in Putney, London, is proud to announce its roster for the 2025 season. Led by Team Manager David Streule, the squad brings together a dynamic mix of local emerging talent and national seasoned expertise, ready to tackle the National domestic calendar together with a number of international races.
The team will be riding the cutting-edge, UCI approved, Raptor RL1 bike, equipped with Round wheels, Raptor Bikes’ own brand of precision-engineered racing wheels designed for speed and reliability. Complementing this state-of-the-art equipment, the team will be outfitted in aerodynamic racewear provided by kit sponsor Rule 28, known for their commitment to reducing drag and maximizing performance. The team will comprise seven male riders and one independent female rider.
Team Manager David Streule says, “The circumstances have enabled us to put together a phenomenal group of athletes supported by some great up and coming British brands. We’re looking forward to an exciting season ahead. Most importantly I hope we can provide these riders with a race schedule befitting of their quality. We are still seeking additional sponsors and partners with any interested parties encouraged to get in touch.”
THE RIDERS
Rowan Baker: Coming out of the U23 ranks and into his first-year elite, Rowan will be a great asset to the team. Off the back of winning the U23 National Series last year, as well as multiple UCI top 10 results and racing at the professional level riding in the Tour of Britain, Rowan will lead our lineup in the classics style races this year.
Dylan Hicks: On the back of his most successful season to date, Dylan will be looking to add to his impressive results as he enters his third year as an U23. A first professional win at the Tour of Hellas in 2024 coupled with a race win in the U23 National Series and a strong result in the National Road Championships have demonstrated his undoubted ability to compete at the highest level. Dylan is as comfortable on hilly terrain as he is on a fast sprint finish, and will no doubt be at the front end of many races in 2025.
Bradley Symonds: Brad is our most seasoned rider, with over four years racing at UCI continental level. He will bring a wealth of experience to the squad and perform the role of road captain for the team. Brad has collected a range of results over the years, most recently a top 20 on stage one of the 2024 Tour of Britain. He will be a great asset to the squad, especially in the hilly races later in the year.
Alex Franks: Racing for Cannibal B Victorious in the Junior ranks Alex had some standout results, winning a French national BOUCLES de L’Oise and a stage in the UCI 1.2 in Aubel-Stavelot race. After some time out from racing in 2024, Alex moves into his second year as an U23 in 2025. We have a lot of hope for this young gun as we help him progress as a young bike rider into the pro ranks!
Tom Heal: A previous winner of the prestigious season opener – the Jock Wadley – Tom will build on a promising 2024 where he achieved podiums at National B road races and multiple top 15s in the National Circuit and Road Series. Our goal is to nurture this local emerging talent to re-find the confidence and form to perform at the top level domestically.
Archie Waller: Local rider Archie has previously raced at a regional level around the London area, including winning the Oxfordshire Road Race League. This talented rider has developed across a number of years with more still to come. With Raptor Factory Racing he’s looking to step up and make his mark on the national scene (and make Michael Smith proud).
Judicaël Clair: In just one year of racing, Judicaël (Jude) has emerged as a rising talent. With a background in various sports, notably inline speed skating, he quickly adapted to cycling, culminating in a Nat B crit win. His unique blend of athleticism will be a welcome addition to the team.
Independent Female Rider: Charlotte Hodgkins-Byrne
Former Olympic rower Charlotte transitioned to cycling in 2022 and has quickly made her mark. With a 2nd place at the Lincoln GP, several Nat B wins, and strong performances in Nat A races, Charlotte has also gained valuable track experience at both National and UCI levels. This year, she aims to build on her sporting background with a focused racing program spanning the UK, Europe, and the USA.
