Startlist: 2024 CAMS Yorkshire Classic Road Races

Organised and run by the Fensham Howes – MAS Design Junior Racing Team — National Men’s Junior Road Race Series and the Female Junior/U23 Women’s Road Race Series

Message from Giles Pidcock — “Our team is dedicated to supporting Under 19 male riders along a pathway from youth racing through the junior ranks and (hopefully) onto a development team and maybe the World Tour beyond that. Whilst many of the races we send a team to are international UCI races abroad, we also think it’s really important to support and invest in racing here in the UK – which is why we organise these races as part of the National Junior Road Race Series.

In conjunction with British Cycling, we have been able to create what we hope is going to be a couple of challenging events over some good racing terrain. We hope you enjoy your trip to Yorkshire.”

The Course

A very demanding circuit based around the village of Terrington in North Yorkshire. There is the tough, steep climb of Bulmer Bank followed by some twisty lanes, and an exposed (cross winds) section. There is 280 m of climbing on each lap. It is fantastic racing terrain which should promote good racing. The circuit is 17.5 km round and is done anticlockwise.

  • The Women’s race will be 4.5 laps – 76km and 1,120m of climbing
  • The Men’s race will be 7.5 laps – 128 km and 1,960m of climbing.
