TEAM NEWS: EDINBURGH ROAD CLUB GOODSON YOUTH RACE TEAM 2024

THE Team launch for the Edinburgh Road Club’s youth race team for 2024 was held recently. The team will consist of nine Young riders aged 13-16 competing on track, road, time trial and cyclocross events.

The team are delighted to have continued support from the Goodson Associates who are now in their 6th year of supporting the team & in that time, the team has produced numerous Scottish & British Champions and remains Scotland’s most successful youth race Team. In addition to this, we have some new sponsorship from SCI print & we will also be revealing the new revamped 2024 Race Kit design.

This season the team will be spearheaded by 2nd year Under 16 Elliot Speedie who recently became the Scottish Individual Pursuit Champion and is also on the National School of racing.

Hamish Mays is back. He rode to victory in Glasgow at ‘Race the worlds’ with a very impressive performance. Also joining them are new riders Rhys Littlejohn’s & Seth Overton. All riders are planning a full campaign on the Scottish & the British series races next season on Road & Track.

Very Promising second year Under 14 boys Andrew Levinson, Micah Myles and Tymek Chmielowski dominated the Youth B category last year in Scotland, picking up all the wins in the series and the Scottish Crit championship Jersey going to Andrew Levinson. We can’t wait to see how they perform this year.

The girls are leads by first Year Under 16 Kasey Park who is back for her third year with the team. Kasey recently took silver at the Scottish Track champs for the 500m TT & Youth Sprint, ably backed up by experienced rider, second year Under 14 Lucy Sweeny who is back for her second year with the Team. Both girls raced strongly at the Youth Tour of Ireland where they won the female Team Prize. We looking forward to seeing both riders at National road & track events.
