National Trophy CX Standings (Rd 5)


The overall standings in the National Trophy Cyclocross after round 5 at Cyclopark; category leaders include Thomas Mein, Elena Day, Dan Barnes, Alice Colling, Oscar Amey with Leon Atkins the only rider with a perfect score winning every round so far.

THE TOP SCORERS IN THE NATIONAL TROPHY CYCLOCROSS

The best is Leon Atkins  (pictured) with the ‘perfect’ score of 1000 and a win in every round so far (5). Next is Olivia Poole (U14) from way way up north in Scotland with 980 after four wins and one defeat, finishing second in round 2. Three riders are on 970 in their categories; Peggy Knox (U16), Ian Taylor (vet 50) and Elena Day (U23 Women).

Peggy has won four of her five rounds and was third in round 1. Elena Day meanwhile, has been first Under 23 Woman in four rounds and third in round 3. Elena also leads the Elite Women category on 910. Ian Taylor in the Vet 50 category, has won four of his five rounds and was third in round 1.

On 950 points are three riders, Thomas Mein (Men), Alice Colling (Junior Women) and Lucy Siddle (Vet 50). Thomas has won three rounds and was second in round 2 and third in round 5. Alice Colling in the Junior Women, has won three of her rounds, was second in round 1 and third in round 2. Lucy Siddle meanwhile has won the first three rounds in the Vet 50 Women’s event and followed that with second in round 4 and third round 5.

Next to score over 900 points is Vet 60 Men’s leader John McGrath who sits on 930 points at the top of his category. John has won two of his races in the series, had two second places and a third place.

The final riders to score over 900 points are Rob Jebb in the Vet 40 Men and Carolyn Speirs in the Vet 60 women. Rob has won two rounds, was fourth in round 1, second in round 4 and third in round 5. Carolyn meanwhile has won two of her rounds and had three third places.
