Result: RaceRapid Mallory Park 10m TT

Every Thursday night is a 10 mile time trial at Mallory Park with a difference. Ten laps of the fast pan flat circuit looked fun with lots of catches being made on the wide circuit free of cars and when it came to competitors, I saw everything from a young rider with flat pedals and trainers to riders seemingly just enjoying a ride, to the fast riders doing sub 20 minute rides.

After her well known exploits in eRacing and the Women’s VTDF, April Tacey turned her attention to time trials at her local circuit

Races began just after 7 in bright sunshine at a venue well known for its cycling events from circuit races to cyclo-cross. Ironic then that a cyclo-cross star in Toby Barnes (Cero Wheels/Cycle Division) (2019/2020 U23 National Trophy winner) won the time trial I was at. Registration is in the car park, there is a warm up area, and the organisers are in their second year of running these time trials.
