SPONSOR NEWS: CHS Ciclismo hosts riders from Britain’s Hope Factory Racing Team at UCI event in Spain with two of them winning their event. Victory for the boys from Hope Factory Racing at the Costa Blanca Bike Race 2025 whilst staying at CHS
January 30th to 2nd February
CHS writes … This year we were delighted to host riders from Hope factory racing taking part in UCI Costa Blanca Bike race which consisted of four stages over four consecutive days.
– Stage 1 started in Calpe and consisted of 52.1 km with 1697 m of elevation
– Stage 2 Distance 14km. Elevation 520m This was a time trial with started in the beautiful old town of Altea where riders set off from the church high up overlooking the bays down stairs from the old town, followed by a rapid section along the promenade before finishing on a grueling climb through the Sierra Gelada national parking and finishing up the steepest 1km section of road in Europe!
– Stage 3 Returned to Calpe 61.6km. elevation 1966m. This was a very tough stage with lots of elevation over just 66km with very technical terrain
– Stage 4 was less challenging but with still 14440m of elevation over 52.9km.
The weather was amazing with wall to wall sunshine, blue skies and mild temperatures of 18 degrees. The Elite guys from Hope Factory racing, Sam and Tom Stephenson took the win in the pairs race with a dominant performance with a significant lead over 2nd place riders from Spain.
James Swadling also entered the individual elite race and had a superb strong race showing his talents to the rest of the European riders and got a very respectable 24th overall only a few minutes from the number 1 position and a very strong field of elite riders.
The week went fantastically well. Each stage was challenging and exciting and their race was very well organised. CHS CICLISMO and Hope factory were a winning combination at this event in 2025. Lets hope we can do the same in 2026 and even more!
