QUIZ TIME! World Star signing for Fensham Howes MAS Design Junior Team is Henry Hobbs! #worldchampion

The Junior Men’s World Junior Individual Pursuit champion, Henry Hobbs, is one of the star signings for the Fensham Howes Mas Design Junior Men’s team which has a rich history of helping junior riders move up into the pro ranks in Europe.

Whilst being a major star on the track, winning the National Junior Mens Scratch race, Kilo, and Pursuit titles as well as plenty of races on his home track at Welwyn, Henry has wins on the road too like a stage of the Tour of Mendips in 2024. It was all a big move up in cyclesport in 2024 after winning the Youth Circuit Race championships in 2023 as a Youth rider when I count 42 wins on his BC page for that season on track and road. #BritishTalent

Here’s a quick fire Q&A with Henry!

Q: How long have you been racing?
Henry: I’ve been racing since under 8s. Almost 10 years!

Q: What team are you racing for in 2025 and what is special about being part of such a strong team?
Henry: I’m proud to be racing for Fensham Howes MAS Design Junior Team in 2025. We have a very strong team this year and it feels great having such strong riders around me to motivate me to become better.

Q: How’s the winter training going?
Henry: The winter training is going well and I’m looking forward to the race season soon approaching.

Q: What results are you most proud of from your cycling career so far?
Henry: I’m most proud of becoming world champion in the Individual Pursuit on the track as it was a massive goal of mine all year. I also came 7th at Guido Reybrock as a 1st first year too on the road. Hopefully I can win the overall race this year. I also won almost every national championship title in 2023.

Q: What race was the toughest in 2024?
Henry: The toughest race was Paris Roubaix as the cobbles were extremely painful and I spent the majority of the race alone due to an early puncture.

What’s the first race in 2025?
Henry: My first road race of the year is Kuurne-Brussel-Kuurne on the 2nd March.

Q: What events in 2025 are the ones you are looking forward to most?
Henry: I’m looking most forward to the early season classics as they are suited best for me, also the sprint stages in the summer stage races. I’d also like to pick up some more stripy jerseys on the track.

Q: Finally, who are the key people who are helping you progress in the sport of cycling?
Henry: My mum and brother are helping me a lot and the riders and staff around me in the team. My coach Stuart Blunt is helping me with my specific training plan to help maximise my potential in the sport.

Good luck Henry in 2025 after these fantastic seasons of success as a Youth and Youth rider already! #nametowatch
