The rain held off and it turned out to be a lovely evening for the Ron Day Memorial Milton Keynes Bowl Race Series last but one race this week on July 16

from the organiser … The rain held off and it turned out to be a lovely evening for our last but one race tonight. Huge thanks to our wonderful helpers who all turned out to enable us to run the race outside the gates into the east car park after 30 mins racing inside.

A very small bunch of 6 riders started the A/B/C/D race, strong men Martin Quill and Michael D’Arcy made a break leaving the rest of the bunch spread out individually, all riding time trials. It was a great sprint finish, won by Martin.

The E/F/G/H race mainly stayed together tonight with a close bunch sprint between the Stewart boys, James and Paul at the end which was won by James. Congratulations to all our winners.

The night was the last qualifying night for our Ron Day Memorial cup sponsored by Church Lane Creative and our Points series sponsored by Corley Cycles and The Bike Bus. Presentation for these to take place on the start line at 6.45pm next week.

Next week is sadly is our last race this season due to concerts at the Bowl. I am looking for help next week with marshalling please if you can help, please contact me. Thank you
