Millie Couzens, Leon Atkins, Phoebe Taylor, Rob Scott and Matthew Leach winners at the Ilkley Town Centre Cycles Races, round two of the National Circuit Series

Results: Ilkley Town Centre Cycles Races

The night began with the Youth racing and Leon Atkins rode away from his rivals to win the Boys race whilst Phoebe Taylor outsprinted the winner at Otley, Millie Salmon, to claim the Youth Girls victory. In the category 2/3/4 support race, there was another solo win, this time Matthew Leach who came in ahead of a solo Max Lutz-Atkinson and Jack Lucas who won the group sprint for third.

In the Women’s National Series race, Millie Couzens attacked in the latter half of the race to solo to victory whilst Robyn Clay of DAS Hutchinson Brother UK won the bunch sprint for second ahead of Isabel Darvill. In the Men’s National Series Race, there many breakaways until a group of a four, Robert Scott, Cole Davis (Ribble Rebellion), Oliver Rees and Toby Barnes, escaped and held on to the end where Rob Scott outsprinted Cole Davis and Ollie Rees.

Overall in the National Series, Rob Scott leads the men’s series and Robyn Clay leads the women’s series.
