Round 1 of the National Under 23 Road Series , the Stars of the South West Road Race was won by Saint Piran’s Dylan Hicks from teammate Rowan Baker

It was a good race from the start with a group of three going off (Dylan Hicks, David Hird and Luke Brennan) who were eventually joined by a 4th rider (Rowan Baker) and stayed away till the finish. The chasing bunch made a race of it, pulling them back to 30 seconds before the leaders responded and extended their lead back to more than a minute.

Conditions were challenging with wind making things difficult especially at the top of the course. “It was pleasing to see a race contested from the off, with hats off to all competitors” says the organiser Brian.
