Race Report: Shibden Apex RT Junior men, racing the Route d’Eole in the Loire:
Great team effort at the Route d’Eole for the Shibden Apex RT Junior men’s team today. 2 stages today, starting with the road race this morning, TT in the afternoon.

For the road race, the team looked good, with Sam putting in a solo attack for a 10km break grabbing KOM points on the way. The bunch was broken up by a nasty crash on the final sprint but none of the lads were caught up. Finished the stage with Denholm 7th, Charlie 9th, Alex 10th and Sam 34th and 3rd in the KOM classification. Sadly Matti and Cillian didn’t make the cut for the final circuits. The boys lay second on the team classification.

All to play for in the TT, the lads looked strong and put in some great performances. Charlie got 9th on the stage, Sam 10th, Alex 13th and Denholm 34th. Overall the final places were Charlie 11th, Sam 12th, Alex 15th and Denholm 34th. The team came second to fellow Brits Huub-BCC on the stage and 3rd overall on the team classification, with Huub-BCC finishing 2nd. Great showing by the British teams!
