The final round of the inaugural PDQ Newport Live Track Series was held on 23rd June. Big prize money is on offer for the series with £300 for the first prize in both the Category B and Masters 35+yrs Series, and a total prize pot of £1500 for the series. Prizes donated by sponsors carbotechltd and 73degreesonline. Both the B Category and the Masters races included a 5km Scratch Race, 13-lap Tempo race, 6-Lap Dash and a 10km Points Race.

It was Junior rider Reuben Cox from Abergavenny RC dominating the Category B races again claiming victory in the Scratch and Tempo Race. Thomas Hogan of VC Vitesse spoilt the party though claiming the win in the Points race. Jacob Davies of PDQ Cycle Coaching took the win in the 6-Lap Dash.

Vince Ellis of Velo Schils – Interbike RT won the B category series overall with his overall consistent riding. John Berry of PDQ Cycle Coaching slipped to 3rd overall and Reuben jumped into 2nd place overall having missed a round in the series.

In the Masters racing it was hard fought with just 7 riders taking to the start line. Every race was ridden hard and tactically. It was Antony Gibb of Full Gas Racing who took the win in the Scratch race. Nicholas English of Aerocoach won both the Tempo race and Points and firmly secured his overall win in the Masters series. Second overall in the series went to Oliver Hambrey of Team HUUB, who missed the final round, followed by Byron Hooper of PDQ Cycle Coaching.
