Maia Howell, Megan Cherry, Melanie Rowe, Henry Hobbs and Finlay Storrie took the stage wins on a stiflingly hot day two of the latest round of the National Youth Circuit Series at Redbridge.

Under 16s
Henry Hobbs (Welwyn Wheelers) took an impressive three stage wins over the course of the two days which saw him elevate to the podium, but following a time penalty on the stage one prologue, couldn’t do enough to dislodge overall GC winner Max Hinds (Evolution Racing Academy) who had an impressively consistent four stages…

In the girls race Maia Howell (Matlock CC) took her maiden national series win in some style, riding away from the field to overturn a huge GC deficit going into the final stage after Megan Cherry had earlier Megan Cherry (Origin Race Team) had done similar in stage three, taking the leader’s jersey and her own first national series stage win…

Under 14s
Finlay Storrie (Maindy Flyers) once again dominated the boys event with three wins out of four but didn’t have it all his own way. A brilliant stage two breakaway victory by Jacob Start (Mid Devon CC) kept the GC battle alive on day two…

The girls’ event also saw three stage wins out of four for the dominant Melanie Rowe (Deeside Thistle) with only Katie Robertson able to take a stage off her, the Clifton CC rider impressively winning the Prologue TT on stage 1 at Cyclopark.
