Tom Martin gaps his rivals to win the CV Spring Classic on the Bashall Eves circuit in Lancashire on April 9

RESULT

Three groups of riders completed the 55th running of the CV Spring Classic. Group 1 saw J/W/V/4/3 riders start with an advantage of three minutes over Group 2 containing 2nd category riders who in turn had a thirty second gap to the Scratch group of three E/1 riders. Following a fast and furious start, the groups had combined after just over four of fifteen 3.9 mile laps of the short Bashall Eaves circuit. A lead group of seven riders held off the chasing bunch but only after Tom Martin had separated himself to take a comfortable win.
