First held in 1969, this South Yorkshire classic was won for the second year in a row by Toby Barnes from Jenson Young in a two up sprint. Seb Grindley was third in a two up sprint with Jim Brown.

Two riders away after the opening loop including Jenson Young (eventually second in the race) and James Hartley, Cycling Sheffield on his Moda Bike who was away for a lot of the race.

Oh look, there’s James Hartley off the front again on his Moda bike with four laps to go. Adam Kenway another rider in this break off the front

Three riders off the front with three laps to go including Adam Kenway whos podiumed in the race before and James Hartley.

Lap to go and Damien Clayton at the head of a group off the front with the race splitting a lot with the pace.

Applying the pressure on the climb, Toby Barnes and Jenson Young escaped and held on to the finish with Barnes winning 1-2 just like stage 1 of the Peaks Two Day
