News: Trinity Announces 2023 Team

Young guns Finlay Pickering and Ollie Rees, just two of many British riders in this international team

The British registered Continental Team, which has quickly become one of the leading development teams in the sport, will see Peter Kennaugh MBE step up into the Team Manager role in 2023 and he will be supported by Assistant Manager Jon Mould (former Commonwealth Games silver medallist.)

Kennaugh is relishing the opportunity to lead the Team: “With Ian (Stannard) moving to INEOS, I am excited to step up into this new role and am really motivated to ensure the Team continues to progress. We are one of the strongest development teams in Europe and have a really good race program so I look forward to working with our talented roster over the coming season.”

As the new roster gathered for the first time as a group, they turned plenty of heads in their new Specialized race and training kit. The Specialized design team continue to channel the Team’s young vibe with another eye-catching kit. On the road, Tour de Taiwan stage winner Luke Lamperti will be hoping for more success in TRINITY colours (in 2023) to add to his growing palmares and the American will be joined by a number of returning British, Irish and Australian riders.

New faces on TRINITY’s road roster include Finlay Pickering (2022 Tour Alsace winner), Bob Donaldson, Joe Pidcock, Callum Thornley, Will Smith, Tobias Nakken and Dean Harvey. In the MTB division, TRINITY have added USA Junior MTB National Champion Lauren Aggeler to the roster alongside French rider Paul Magnier and Colombian Hugo Rodrigues. These three young riders join Adrien, Alex, & Camilo and hope to continue the success of TRINITY’s MTB discipline. Whilst recently crowned British National Cyclocross champion Cameron Mason will lead the Team’s focus in the Gravel discipline.

Director of Trinity Sports Management, who own TRINITY Racing, Andrew McQuaid, also joined the Team in Calpe commented: “It was great to visit the camp for a couple days to see everyone working hard together and also to welcome the new riders to the Team. I believe we have created a great learning environment for the our riders to thrive and having the experience and input of Pete, Nico and Jon is invaluable for the young riders. With each season we have seen a number of our alumni (both riders and staff!) transition to the WT and we are extremely grateful to our principle partners, Specialized, SRAM and Zwift for supporting us on this project. We have another exciting roster this season and I look forward to seeing our young talent become better riders, under the tutelage of Pete and Jon, which will hopefully allow them to achieve results and step up.”
