Clothing supplier to Cams Basso, Brother UK/Orientation Marketing, Bike Exchange, Groupama FDJ & Bahrain Victorious has unveiled its Spring/Summer collection
News: ALE Spring-Summer Collection
Alé unveils the highlights of the new cycling garments of its 2022 Spring-Summer collection. This collection focuses above all on technicality, aerodynamics, sustainability and, of course, colours.
As always, the garments are divided into five product lines:
— the R-EV 1 includes the most innovative products, made with high tech materials from Alé’s cutting-edge textile engineering;
— the PR-S is the obvious choice of many professionals and teams that follow Alé and is specifically made for high performances;
— the PR-R, the forerunner of all Alé lines, features garments often made with materials with low environmental impact, as well as unique and original designs;
— SOLID brings together practicality, comfort and versatile garments; and finally
— GRAVEL features specific jerseys and shorts for the most popular discipline right now, made less for competitions and more so for leisure and fun.
R-EV1
The Velocity jersey uses the most cutting-edge graphene technology on the market, its second skin fit makes it the most suitable garment for cyclists aiming for top performances. Graphene tech provides the garment with important features: the closed circuit of graphene (graphite nanoparticles), in direct contact with the cyclist’s skin, equalises the body temperature, facilitating heat dissipation. Moreover, it has bacteriostatic properties, which improves hygiene and prevents unpleasant odours. The sleeves are in CLIMA AERO (tested in wind tunnel), which is elastic and thin (110 g/m²) and has a texturised surface that reduces resistance and improves aerodynamics.
Technical, ergonomic and high performing: the Velocity HD2 shorts are made with side panels in high tech AERO 3D fabric tested in the wind tunnel, which ensures minimal air friction. The main fabric is soft to the touch: 40% of it consists of elastomer, which compresses the muscles resulting in venous return, while remaining very comfortable to wear. X AIR BIB, an innovative system on the back of the raw-cut suspenders, ensures the stability of the bib shorts while remaining firmly in place. Finally, the 8HF Evolution pad with differentiated density (from 60 kg/m3 4 mm thickness to saddle with 120kg/m3 density 8 mm thickness), follows the movements of the body and guarantees excellent breathability.
Falls are unfortunately part of cycling. This is where the Alé Pro Race Strong shorts come into play. With an advanced design and strategically placed panels made of Dyneema®, a highly abrasion-resistant yet lightweight fabric, these shorts can reduce injuries in the event of impact and sliding on asphalt. Its main fabric, Sapphire, is among the best materials selected for cycling: it is soft to the touch but at the same time provides good compression and excellent moisture control.
The Race Special jersey is designed for aerodynamic performances and high summer temperatures. The LP 41 Series fabric on the side panels has a honeycomb construction that improves breathability and drying speed. Perfect on long climbs or in the hottest months, its front and back feature highly breathable Sensy AQ fabric. The Skin 120 Exagon fabric of the sleeves allows for maximum freedom of movement. Its special calendering improves aerodynamics while its tubular construction and raw cut finish keep the sleeves close to the arms without compression.
PR-R
Less plastic, more cycling. Cyclists save the planet in two ways at the same time: by cycling and by wearing sustainable garments. The Green Speed jersey uses 90% GRS (Global Recycle Standard) approved fabrics and truly is environmentally sustainable. The Green micro-perforated fabric facilitates ventilation and quick drying. The 3 back pockets are complemented with a fourth pocket on the side, called eco-pocket, to store empty packs of energy bars and gels and other small waste.
To match it, the Green Speed shorts offer good muscle compression thanks to their multidirectional stretch. The leg bottoms are raw cut and fit like a second skin. The new GREEN 4H pad features a green fabric for the upper layer. It offers a 100 kg/m3 density and an 8 mm thickness. Excellent breathability and a pleasant feeling of freshness and dryness.
The Kenya Jersey is the quintessence of Alé’s design. Graphics and colour blend in this garment, because being a cyclist doesn’t mean wearing boring plain-coloured overalls or lots of logos on your stomach. An unconventional design inspired by Africa that doesn’t forget the technical details: the MicroAero fabric on the front and sides provides lightness and freshness, while the carbon yarn on the back is antibacterial and antistatic.
SOLID
Graphics, lightness and comfort, dedicated to every kind of cyclist: the Solid line offers jerseys that will never go unnoticed. Like the Turbo jersey, available in four vibrant colours: this jersey is simple, ultra-light and breathable, made of Light Point fabric, with a micro-hole structure that allows for better breathability and ventilation. Comfortable fit for every cyclist. Or like the Ride Jersey or the Mexico Jersey, suitable for any type of ride, very light and perfect also at very high temperatures.
GRAVEL
Two wheels, all surfaces: Gravel isn’t just about epic bikepacking trips, multiple-day adventures or bearded cyclists. Alé’s Gravel collection offers jerseys and shorts designed to flee from the chaos of modern life. A versatile collection that rejects the stereotypes of gravel bikes.
The Stones Cargo, in durable Sapphire fabric and with high muscle compression, have side pockets to fit everything a rider needs during a bike ride. The Overland Shorts are designed for travelers who want a versatile garment that can also be worn during stops, or over shorts with colder temperatures.
The Chaos Jersey and the Woodland Jersey are made of merino wool blend stretch fabric. They are soft and light to the touch and guarantee the excellent thermoregulation typically offered by wool. Ergonomic fit and mesh sides allow for effective breathability on hot days. Their three capacious back pockets can store everything a rider needs for their rides. The reflective logo increases visibility in low light conditions.
Finally, the Scottish jersey encompasses the comfort of a T-shirt and the technicality of a true bike jersey. Thanks to body mapping, technical, lightweight, high-performance and functional fabrics have been strategically placed on the garment. 3 comfortable back pockets along with 2 eco-friendly side pockets remind us to protect the environment that hosts us. The special tartan graphic with natural colours makes this jersey versatile and multifunctional.
