Team News: Bianchi Dama for 2021

2020 was the year that never was, well mostly, for any form of bunch racing for the Bianchi Dama squad. However with far bigger things at play during 2020, the team are very happy to be in a position to announce some plans for 2021 and move forwards into a new race season with the continued support of great people.

One new element for 2021 for the Bianchi Dama women’s team is they fully intend to be part of British Cycling’s new Elite Development Team division, continuing their progress and being as thorough and professional as they can be. This is a new category, designed with teams and riders in mind with ambitious but realistic criteria, and provides recognition in how far our team has come since starting out in 2015. Again, more on this when processes are all ratified, but it’s nice to get such an upgraded status.

In terms of riders, continuity is where this team are at. Charlotte Colclough, Bethany Taylor, Jazz Jones, Anneleen Bosma, Georgie Panchaud, Emma Cockcroft, Tasha Reddy and Holly MacMahon are all set to race in our classic Celeste once again. The team are adding a new rider too in the form of Alderney Baker who will join the squad as a stagiere, following a road race development plan that will see her mixing it up in all the big races with the team later in the season.

The team’s race calendar is beginning to take shape too with the eight rounds of the National Elite Road Race Series once again their focus. The National Road Race Championships, Tour Series, and Time Trials all feature strongly too, plus a selection of UCI level events in Northern Europe adding to a great race programme running from April through to September.

Supporting the team will be partners and sponsors that were with the team in 2019 such as Bianchi UK, Milltag, Hunt, Goodyear, Fenwick’s, Rawvelo, Michelmores, Asure Financial, and SunGod. The team say they also have new partnerships and sponsors to announce.
