Vorteq Sports at Silverstone (UK) has launched a ground-breaking range of Human Performance services, designed with a focus on finding real, measurable performance improvements for every athlete.

Vorteq Sports at Silverstone (UK) has launched a ground-breaking range of Human Performance services, designed with a focus on finding real, measurable performance improvements for every athlete.
Incorporated in 2019, Vorteq Sports is the brainchild of British Engineer Rob Lewis OBE. Although best known for his contributions in motorsport and F1, Rob has extensive Sports Engineering experience and in 2017 was awarded an OBE for his contribution to the performance of British athletes’ over three Olympic campaigns.
He was a founding member of the Secret Squirrel Club working alongside Chris Boardman to bring a comprehensive knowledge of aerodynamics to elite cycling. The services available include bike fitting, aero testing and physiology profiling. Each service is designed with a focus on finding data driven improvements on the bike. All bike fit sessions are led by charted physiotherapist Bianca Broadbent, resulting in an in depth understanding of the human body and its limitations.
Aero testing and Physiology sessions are led by Dr Jamie Pringle who has in extensive experience in the world-class sector of British sport and was previously Head of Science at the Boardman Performance, prior to its closure earlier this year.
Vorteq have established their home at Silverstone Sports Engineering Hub just a few hundred metres from the motor racing circuit. The hub boasts its own open jet, open return wind tunnel designed specifically for the sports market. In addition to Human Performance Services Vorteq is a key innovator in performance cycling clothing. Their skinsuits and overshoes are custom-fitted to exact body geometry, using high definition 3D scanning.
Materials have been thoroughly tested and selected based on years of research and development around fabric properties and their impact on aerodynamics in sport. Commenting on the new services, Rob Lewis said “I’m delighted to launch our range of Human Performance Services previously only reserved for Elite athletes. Vorteq is an engineering led brand and we strive for sporting perfection in everything we do. Our Human Performance Services follow the same expert approach as our clothing products with the aim of providing customers with a measurable competitive advantage.”
