Time to meet 2018 Primera Sports/teamJobs Junior team rider Elliot Cox who the team say is a great team player who will be a committed rider for the juniors in the team. He’s already gained experience racing abroad and in the UK on road and track.
Favourite Movie: probably law abiding citizen.
Favourite Food: Steak.
Favourite Song: Face or Sweet by Brockhampton.
Favourite training session: Endurance rides with the boys.
Favourite place to ride: It’s gotta be the lighthouse run from Port de Pollenca in Mallorca, or a long ride through the mountains in the north
Pre race meal: 2-4 24hour protein fuel cereal bars.
Post race meal: Chicken with rice or noodles and vegetables.
Train alone or in a group: Prefer to train with a group but happy to go out by myself.
Turbo or road: I’m not fussy as long as I get it done.
Strengths: Bunch sprint finishes.
Weaknesses: Time trials.
Bar or Gel: Both are needed.
Tea or coffee: Tea.
Long socks or Short: Long – the cuff stopping just at the calf muscle belly.
Bath or shower: Shower and a bath as a treat.
Dog or Cat: Cat
Costa or Starbucks: Neither.
Guilty Pleasure: Jazz music.
Shaved legs or waxed: Shaved.
Prefered discipline: Road but I love to race the track on occasion.
If you could change one thing about the sport, what would it be? For the sport to be more appreciated in schools and throughout society. People don’t appreciate how much training it takes and think it’s easy.
Best performance in 2017: Tour of Assen – 8th In final stage u17.
What is the most valuable thing you learnt from the 2017 season? Nobody owes you anything, if you want something work and achieve it.
Main goal for 2018: My main goal for 2018 is to the finish all of the national series road races.
What will you bring to your team for 2018: A committed team player, a good friend and hopefully some self made luck.
