News: London Bike Show returns in February 2017

The London Bike Show will return to ExCeL London this February, running from Thursday 16th – Sunday 19th. A limited quantity of Early Bird Adult tickets are now available at £14 for the Thursday and Friday and £14 for the Saturday and Sunday.

This year’s Show will again be bringing a vast array of features, special guests and the latest gear from leading cycling brands to appeal to road, mountain bike, urban and family cyclists.  Over 300 confirmed brands will be in attendance, including Cannondale, Giant, Scott, Pinarello, Orange, Cervelo, Wattbike and many more of the cycling’s biggest brand names, as well as several large cycling retailers including TriUK.

New for 2017 is ‘The Craft’, celebrating hand built frames, customs clothing, hand built wheels, craft beer and beautiful art. Expect to find unique hand braised commuters, gravel bikes, fixies and monster cross bikes. This is the perfect area for those whose love of cycling isn’t just a passion, but a personal identity.

The Rider Lounge will once again play host to a stellar list of special guest speakers from across the world of cycling. Previous guests include Great Britain’s most successful Olympian, Sir Chris HOY, 3-time Tour de France winner Greg LeMond, downhill MTB legend Steve Peat and the hugely inspiring Martin Ashton.

Returning in 2017 is the Air to the Throne competition which made a hugely successful debut at the show last year and saw Nicholi Rogatkin take the crown and €10,000 prize pot. Air to the Throne is an international MTB freestyle competition, featuring a selection of the world’s best freestyle mountain bikers.

For cyclists looking to fine tune their performance, the Surrey Human Performance Training Hub returns to the Show offering visitors the chance to book an intensive 1-2-1 session with one of the Institute’s experts. During these exclusive sessions, participants will undergo a full fitness and technique analysis, before receiving a personalised professional training plan.

There will be a wide range of bikes from the world’s leading brands available for visitors to test on the Test Track, with road, commuter and electric models being on hand. Alongside the main test track will be a dedicated kid’s test track, where younger ones can try out the latest bikes on the market.

StreetVelodrome returns once again to give visitors the chance to get involved in the action-packed thrill of track cycling, in the world’s only pop up velodrome.

For adrenaline junkies, the Extreme Action Sports Tour area allows visitors to see breathtakingly skilled stunt riders, the Daily Demons. The action packed displays are guaranteed to keep spectators on the edge of their seats as they perform stunts and display their astounding skills with amazing control and nerve.

Also back for 2017 is the Innovation and Technology Hub showcasing the most innovative product from a range of new startup companies. Already confirmed are; Headcase, helmets made from an innovative material that can continue to be used after knocks, Tailfin, anew bike rack made form carbon fibre and Quadribel, the smartbell that means you get seen too.

A ticket to The London Bike Show will also gain visitors entry into three other events that are running simultaneously; the Triathlon Show: London, The Telegraph Outdoor Adventure & Camping Show and Oceans: Featuring The London International Dive Show (Saturday & Sunday only).

Adult tickets for the Thursday or Friday cost £16 each including booking fee, with concession tickets at £10.00 including booking fee, children 8 and under are free and 9-16 year olds cost £4.00 including booking fee.

Adult tickets for the Saturday or Sunday are available at £18 per adult, £12 for concessions and 9-16 year olds £6, all including booking fee. Children under 8 can again attended for free.
