Emma Lewis is relatively new to racing after she started riding a bike in 2013 whilst competing in small scale local Duathlons. She says, “I really enjoyed the Time-Trial aspect and began to do more and more of them.”

“I was soon sponsored a TT bike by a very good friend of mine, who has been sponsoring me his old bikes ever since! In 2014 I began to take time-trialling more seriously and my times improved over the year. The start of 2015 saw me starting training with my Coach Tim Ramsden of Blackcat Cycle Coaching. This was when my season of serious racing began. “

In 2015 Emma achieved her 2nd category racing licence through a total of 4 wins amongst other podium finishes at the CycloPark 3/4 women’s races.

Emma’s results have progressed from there:
— 13th in first ever Road Race which was the South East Regional Road Race Champs, despite crashing 50 meters from the finishing line and hobbling the last few meters!
— 19th British National 25 mile time trial
— 15th British National 10 mile time trial
— 2nd Lady Emergency Services National Time Trial series (10 &
— 1st and numerous podiums 2015/2016 CycloCross season
— 19th National Trophy CycloCross Goals for 2016

Emma is determined to build on 2015 with a top 15 or hopefully top 10 finish in the National Time Trial events, Qualify for the UCI Amateur TT champs and hopes to podium in the Emergency Services National Time Trial.

New Riders for 2016 include Apprentice Engineer Alicia Clifford, a former Olympic level dingy sailor who decided to swap the sea for the road and started riding. Alicia is starting her first competitive season in Adlata colours and is hoping to progress throughout the year in crit races across Kent.

Freya Rawlings is a new cat 4, with a love of climbing and hoping for a future in the Armed Forces. Freya is targeting the Womens Team Series and hoping for some National Races.
