Q&A: Joe Sutton (PMR Toachin House)

1. When will you start your road season and what will be the first race?
Joe: My first Race is on the 27th of February at Cyclopark, hosted by San Fairy Ann.

2. What races will be your targets for 2016 and why?
Joe: I will be targeting the Jock Wadley, Wally Gimber and the South East Regionals RR. I want to see my progression from the previous year.

3. How will you spend the time on the bike between now and your first race in training?
Joe: There will be a mix of long miles and top end efforts.

4. What was your favourite Xmas present?
Joe: Rab Jacket.

5. When it rains, which its doing a lot right now, is it turbo time or wrap up and get wet?
Joe: I love riding in the rain, but if its wet, windy and cold then I sit on the turbo!

6. If you could do any race in the world including the best ones in the world etc, what would it be and why?
Joe: Tour of Britain. Its a very well attended race in the UK. I’ve watched it since 2004 when I was 7 so its always been a big dream to ride it!

7. What piece of food can you not do without where ever you are on the road during the season!
Joe: Secret Training Gels.

8. What is your favourite music track when warming up for a race or on the turbo?
Joe: Killing in the name – by Rage against the Machine.

9. If given the option, would you prefer normal brakes or disc brakes on your road bike?
Joe: Normal brakes

10. What’s the spec of your race bike for 2016 and your favourite bits on it?
Joe: Canyon Ulitmate CF SLX 9.0. Favourite part- Zipp wheels.
