August 30: RTTC 10 Champs

The ’10’ championships on August 30 (Sunday) sees the top three from the 25 championship on the startsheet; Ryan Perry (Langdale Lighweights), Matt Bottrill (Drag2Zero) and Kieron Davies (Drag2Zero).

With the cut off time for entry being 21 minutes, the event has 150 of the fastest riders including the Silver and Bronze medallists from the British time trial championships at Cadwell Park in June; Edmund Bradbury (NFTO) and Ryan Perry.

On a course that the organisers say is not a drag strip being a typical B road on an out and back course, the start sheet is a who’s who of British time trialling with so many potential winners, especially at the lower end of the entry list with the likes of the top 10 from the 25 champs; Matt Clinton (Mike Vaughan Cycles), Adam Topham (High Wycombe CC), Rob Sharland (Paceline RT), Brett Harwood (Terry Wright Cycles RC), Joshua Williams (Revolutions Racing ), Matthew Smith (Team Velovelocity), and James Boyman (Farnham RC).
Ashley Cox of CC Luton is another of the favourites and will be looking for a better ride that the one at the 25 champs.

Course: Start on the unclassified road off B4109 (sign posted A427 Lutterworth), approximately 0.25 mile South East of island junction with B4114, in line with the second cats eye from the South eastern end of the first lay‐by. Proceed to the island junction of B4027, A4303 and A5 (Cross in Hand). 5.2 miles.

Encircle the island to take the fifth exit and retrace towards Wolvey. Finish in line with the second road drain on the left, before a break in the roadside kerb, approximately 300 yards before the driveway to Wolvey Heath Farm.
