Report & Results – Brooks Cycles Track League

The latest round of the Brooks Cycles Track League took place on Thursday 16th July 2015 with Matt Walls ( Velocity RT) again dominating the A Class endurance events as he won three out of the four events in fine style. He is now closing fast on league leader Jacob Booth ( Dave Hinde RT ) who also scored well on the night.

The Sprinters League saw 17 riders compete in what must be the premier track league sprint competition in the country at the moment. The standard across all the races was high with Caleb Hill ( Lyme RC) winning the opening 500m Handicap TT. The sprint final saw Tom Rotherham ( Sportcity Velo) win from a fast finishing Sean Mayer ( Swinnerton Cycles ).

The B Class events saw a number of winners with Conner Fearon ( Weaver Valley CC) taking the 8 lap scratch. Aiden Morley won the points race . The biggest cheer of the night was for Sallie Birchall ( Lyme RC) who held on to win the devil.

In the youth events Farley barber won the block handicap and Charlie Fisher ( Newport CC) then won the devil and the 6 lap scratch.

The nights racing started with the Freewheelers League with 12 events. The top point’s scorers in each league were;
