Fact 01: Russell Downing was 3rd on stage 1 of the 2012 Tour of Britain won by Luke Rowe!

Fact 02: British riders were first and second in the 2013 Tour of Britain time trial won by Bradley Wiggins from Ian Stannard and a rider who raced in Britain, Jack Bauer was 3rd.

Fact 03: Ian Wilkinson, riding for raleigh in 2014, was second on stage 7 in the 2011 Tour of Britain

Fact 04: Ian Bibby, riding for Madison Genesis in 2014, was second on stage 3 in 2010.

Fact 05 – Ben Swift won stage 7 in the 2009 Tour when racing for Katusha. He rides again in 2014 this time for Sky

Fact 06 – Rob Hayles was second on stage 1 in 2008 (and second again on stage 6) with four British riders in the top 10 plus two others who have been based in Britain.

Fact 07 – Multiple stage winner Roger Hammond is the DS for Madison Genesis in 2014

Fact 08 – Jeremy Hunt was 3rd on stage 1 of the 2005 Tour. His younger brother Joshua Hunt rides the 2014 race.
