This was the last race in the Ciclos Uno Summer Series of 8 events and we had the second best turn out of 17 riders. With all of the top categries places taken and could not be beaten they were racing for minor placing and a race win. The racing was fast and furious with many attacks and breakaways. In then end it was the fittest who survived and a group of 6 sprinted out the finish with Ralph Keeler (Wheels in Wheels) taking the win.

Unlike the EFGH race this was a low turn out for the last ABCD race of the series, but the racing was still full on. In the first few laps it all stayed together then on the 3rd lap Antony Wallis (Ciclos Uno) and Andrew Bates (Colour Tech RT) took off , then halfway through the race Antony Wallis (Ciclos Uno) punctured and we thought that was the end of his race, but he managed to borrow a spare back wheel and have his lap out and rejoin with Andrew Bates (Colour Tech RT).

They went on to lap the field. In the last few laps Andrew Bates (Colour Tech RT) lost contact with Antony Wallis (Ciclos Uno) and Antony Wallis (Ciclos Uno) went on to win alone with Andrew Bates (Colour Tech RT) finishing 2nd an Bob Downs (Rapha / Condor) taking the bunch sprint.

Which brought the end of a successful series, my thanks go out to all the OFFICIALS our sponsor CICLOS UNO and all the riders for turning up. We have another series starting soon, The Ciclos Uno Last of The Summer Wine races but this will only be a three race, 7th/14th/21st of September and not FOUR as advertised.
