Course record for Mark Arnold on the challenging and sporting Debenham-Pettaugh-Ashfield-Occold-Debenham course (BS33) on Saturday (April 5th).

There was another course record for Mark Arnold on the challenging and sporting Debenham-Pettaugh-Ashfield-Occold-Debenham course. A beautiful, bright and sunny day but with a brisk SSW wind wasn’t ideal for setting fast times but Mark beat the previous best by 11 seconds, all the more impressive riding his customary fixed wheel Cervelo.

The race had an impressive 56 entries but interestingly no ladies. Unfortunately 83 year old Peter Baumber crashed about 2 miles from the finish. He was taken to hospital and we have since learned that he suffered a fractured collar bone, 3 broken ribs, a punctured lung and cuts and bruises. Our best wishes to Peter for a speedy recovery.
