CHS reveal another epic route taking in some stunning scenery, climbs and descents and of course the very likely event of just running into some of the pro teams here.

Torre de las Macanes
One of our favorite 100 km loops takes in some epic climbing and fast descents. We call this one the “ Torre” or tower.

If you are after some sunny weather, great conditions and some epic climbing then this is a fantastic route. There are miles of climbs and miles of fast descents all on pristine roads with some great café stops where you can replenish your carbs and caffeine levels!

All our routes are fully guided with full vehicle support so you can feel secure any help needed is nearby.

Starting at base camp we head up to the historic castle of Guadalest at 2500 feet an ancient Moorish castle. Spain’s second most visited attraction. Here you can stop for a coffee and cake and take in the amazing views of the castle impregnated into the mountain side.

Moving on we continue a long leg breaking drag to Confrides where shortly after our first descent starts. A silky smooth road plummeting down from 3500 feet for 5km lets you get some real speed up and master your descending skills, plenty of switchbacks and bends to test the best riders.

Now it’s a short drag out to the start of the climb to the top of the “Torre de las Macanes”

It’s a lovley climb stead and you climb from 1900 feet to 3553 feet over 10 km, so there’s plenty of scope to fit in a 10 k time trail UP if your feeling string enough, its one of the regions we regularly get teams some serious hill training and we always see the pros doing the same here . We are now some 25 miles into the ride, a long 25 miles.

Full vehicle support with everything you need to fuel up including freshly picked oranges!

The great thing now is the remaining part of the ride is more or less downhill with the occasional connecting drag up to another downhill section . Its all fun and games from now on and loads of opportunities to open up and race back to camp.

So if your looking for plenty of climbing, loads of great descents and fabulous weather then Cycling Holiday Spain will deliver.

So if you’re looking for the best fully inclusive training camp in Spain with everything taken care of then its Cycling Holiday Spain
