Scottish Cycling has confirmed the Performance Programme Squad for the 2013/2014 in the disciplines of Road, Track Sprint and Endurance and Mountain Bike Cross Country.
The programme overseen by Gary Coltman, Scottish Cycling’s Head of Performance, will run from 1st November 2013 to November 2014. Athletes selected have demonstrated they have potential to meet the 2014 selections standards or represent Scotland at the 2018 Commonwealth Games.
Scottish Cycling’s Head of Performance, Gary Coltman, said: “Next year presents a once in a lifetime opportunity for many of our elite athletes, to represent Scotland in the Commonwealth Games on home soil.
“Our performance coaches are currently working hard with a pool of talented cyclists, not only with the Glasgow 2014 Games in mind but also looking towards 2018 and beyond. Our coaches will continue to work with riders throughout this period, providing them with the training and support with the aim to select the most competitive Scottish teams possible.â€
Scottish Cycling’s objective is to help the best Scottish Cyclists progress to become world class riders in all disciplines.
