One of the things about being ‘old’ is that you have plenty of memories to talk about and reflect on and this collection of 10 postcards, certainly helps bring back many great memories from decades gone by.

Riders featured are Tom Simpson, Eddy Merckx, Felice Gimondi, Roger de Vlaeminck, Sean Kelly, Bernard Hinault, Stephen Roche, Luis Lucho Herrera and probably one of the best images I’ve seen from John, that of Bernard Hinault sprinting it out in the Tour de France in 1981.

The “Les mémoires du peloton Retro Postcard Pack” from long time support of VeloUK and before that, Echelon-Velo is the result of their four-year collaboration with photographer John Pierce of PhotoSport International who has provided the images for the “Les mémoires du peloton” retro calendars.

Included in the pack are ten postcards (A6; 102 x 152mm) printed on Incada 260gsm card with a gloss UV varnish on the front and a matt finish on the back featuring iconic and evocative images from days gone by.

One of my favourite images … Bernard Hinault sprinting in the Tour de France….

The riders featured are household names and whether you want to feature them in a wall frame to keep those memories alive every day or just make your friends smile with a surprise gift, the card set is superb value by Mick and Andy at Prendas.

The value of them gets better when you take advantage of their multi-saver deals. Simply add a second pack to your basket and two will cost only £5 which is a bargain in anyone’s money. Mick and Andy were kind enough to send two sets and I did think about offering one as a prize in a competition but then I thought it would be better if you just clicked here  and bought them direct!

I think I’ll frame one set and use the other!
