Preview: Noel Jones Memorial Road Race

On the 17th of April, the Cwmcarn Paragon CC promoted Noel Jones Memorial Road Race (2/3/4) takes place in Wales. Headquarters is the Gwernyfed Leisure Centre (LD30SF) and start time is 10am. Says race organiser Ed Malarczyk, “We at Cwmcarn Paragon CC look forward to promoting the Noel Jones Memorial RR and we are very grateful for your support in this event. We are also very fortunate to get financial support from our Main Sponsor DUDLEY’S CONSTRUCTION and a contribution from Noel Jones’s daughter Alison. So a very personal thank you, to you both. I want to wish the riders good luck to a very enjoyable race but more than anything I hope you have an incident free race from start to finish.”

NEG
NEG Motorcycle Marshals will be present on the race to assist in the safe passage of the race. The NEG will when safe to do so alert other road users to the presence of the race.  Riders are reminded that they have an obligation to look after their own safety and obey the Highway Code. The presence of NEG Marshals does not imply that the road is closed and riders should be aware of oncoming and passing traffic and stay to the left lane of the carriageway unless otherwise instructed. NEG Marshals will make use of whistles, horns and flags to warn of danger or their presence. Riders should be particularly observant at these times. Riders should allow passage of NEG Motorcycles wherever possible and obey instructions and directions of both Static and Motorcycle Marshals

Service
There will be no service vehicle so if you have a puncture or a mechanical, please stay on the race circuit where we can see you and a message can be relayed back to someone involved with the race. We can then send a vehicle to pick you up and return you to HQ.

COURSE DETAILS
FOLLOW RACE DIRECTION ARROWS
Turn Right out of HQ on to the A438 towards Hereford.
Turn Left at Glasbury on the A438 then Left on to the B4350.
Continue on B4350 to Boughrood then Turn Left on to the A470 direction Brecon/Abergavenny.
At roundabout take 2nd Exit on the A479 direction Talgarth/Abergavenny.
Start Prime Hill
At Prime/Finish line you will see Lap Board showing 6 Laps to go.
Continue on the A479 to T junction where you turn Left on to the A438 towards Three Cocks/Hereford and to complete one circuit.
Continue circuits to finish at Top of Prime Hill/Finish Line on the A479.
Estimated time of Finish 1230pm.

Note: There is very limited car parking space at the Finish Area so please Park Sensibly/Safely and Legally.
